ITHAKA’s mission is to expand access to knowledge and education around the world. Our services — Artstor, JSTOR, Portico, and Ithaka S+R — enable people everywhere to learn, to grow, and to overcome historical barriers to education. In carrying out our mission, as employees we feel a deep responsibility to each other and our well-being, and are committed to building and sustaining a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.

The Role

JSTOR Access in Prison provides people who are incarcerated with access to academic research resources. Our online and offline solutions have helped colleges, libraries, and departments of corrections deliver equitable educational opportunities to hundreds of thousands of people who are incarcerated. We are looking for a manager who can help us expand our reach into more prisons, jails, and detention centers to reach all incarcerated scholars by 2027.

In this role, you will work with jail and prison administrators, corrections IT departments, and educators to identify their needs, license access to our products and services, and onboard new sites. Internally, you will work with the JSTOR Access in Prison product team to learn about the technology and needs of prison-based education, and outreach and support teams to support our customers and users. You will learn how to co-create campaigns and have the tools to implement them. This is a growth position with a flexible career path. You will develop the future of research and education in prisons through projects and partnerships. This position reports to the Sr Manager, JSTOR Access in Prison, and is a part of the JSTOR Labs team, which incubates new services and products for researchers, teachers, and students that are immediately useful—and a little bit magical.

The deadline to submit this application is July 8th. In lieu of submitting a cover letter please respond to the three questions below.
