ITHAKA, a nonprofit with a mission to improve access to knowledge and education for people around the world, has been recognized as one of the 2024 Top Workplaces for Remote Work, featured by Monster. The 2024 Top Workplaces for Remote Work award celebrates organizations with 150 or more employees cultivating exceptional remote working environments. ITHAKA earned the award based on employee feedback from the 2024 Energage Employee Engagement Survey. Results were evaluated by comparing ITHAKAns’ responses to those at other, similarly sized companies and organizations.

“We are so fortunate to have a high-performing distributed staff, who are dedicated to advancing our mission,” said ITHAKA’s President, Kevin Guthrie.  “We have invested in tools and meaningful organizational values to enable our people to work collaboratively from anywhere to meet our goals, but it’s our shared sense of purpose that motivates our work.”

ITHAKA’s employees agree that mission is a critical factor in their job satisfaction, with 92% of respondents saying that they feel that their job is meaningful. ITHAKA also receives top marks for inclusion with 90% of employees reporting that ITHAKA is an inclusive company, and values with 90% of employees reporting that the organization operates by strong values (Belonging, Evidence, Speed, Trust, and Teamwork).

“Our employees are engaged in our mission and care deeply about making our organization a great place to work,” said VP of Work, Life, and Culture, Debbie Barrett. “We are spread across more than 30 states in the U.S. so it’s up to each of us to make remote work effective. I’m so proud of what our ITHAKA team has accomplished.”
